Applied Practice Experience & Capstone
The applied practice experience (APE) offers MPH candidates the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they receive from their coursework into the public health realm. These experiences fortify and reinforce the competencies of public health introduced in the classroom through in field applications. The internship opportunities demonstrate the depth of public health in the community and the human population.

The capstone course serves as the required integrative learning experience (ILE) for students in the MPH program. Students will demonstrate synthesis of foundational and concentration-specific competencies through an individual project that addresses the needs of a public health agency. Students will produce a high-quality written report for their agency.
